Is June a good time to visit Jordan?
Undoubtedly, the weather in Jordan in June gets incredibly hot as summer takes over from spring, but that shouldn’t deter you from going. For those individuals who can manage the heat, June is the perfect month to enjoy beautiful sunny days, dry weather, and picturesque sunsets. However, if you want to avoid the heat, it’s possible to schedule your activities during the cooler parts of the day.
While the heat intensifies as summer sets in, the dry climate does help to keep things manageable. This is a fantastic time for visiting the Dead Sea to relax in the warm waters, while the Aqaba coastline offers some of the world’s best diving and snorkeling opportunities. Despite the heat, exploring Petra and Wadi Rum is well within the realms of possibility, but it is recommended to do it in the early mornings or evenings when temperatures are lower.
June is a sweltering summer month, so fewer tourists tend to visit major attractions like Petra and Wadi Rum. As a result, accommodations and tours in these places can be cheaper than during spring. In the resort regions, though, things are different.
