Itinerary #2: Cambodia's cultural treasures
This 10-day trip is great for anyone who wants to focus on Cambodia’s cultural sights during their trip. Day one you’ll hit the road to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Once you’ve checked into your hotel, you’ll visit the jaw-dropping Banteay Srei Temple and a local village renowned for producing palm sugar. Cap it off with a visit to the enchanting Banteay Samre.
On day two you’ll travel through the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the South Gate, Bayon Temple, Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King, before catching the sunset at Angkor Wat.
On day three, you're off to the Khmer countryside to Kulen Mountain, where you'll discover Lingas carved in the riverbed and a colossal reclining Buddha, followed by a waterfall picnic. Then, for day four's adventure you will take a drive to the enigmatic Beng Mealea Temple, followed by visits to Senteurs D’Angkor and Wat Bo pagoda
Catch the early sunrise at Angkor Wat on the fifth day before venturing to a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, followed by temple hopping at Preah Khan and more. Day six gives you even more time to visit even more of the renowned temples of the area.
On day seven, you’re off to Sambor Prei Kuk, checking out traditional villages and ancient capitals. On the eighth day, journey to Kompong Cham for a visit to Santuk Silk Farm, followed by a local restaurant lunch and a brief tour of Kompong Cham
Day nine is all about soaking in Phnom Penh's iconic sights, ending with a sunset cruise. Finally, day ten is for a leisurely farewell before you head off from Phnom Penh International Airport. Book this trip.
