I spent two months in northern Italy. In Piedmont I strolled through Turin. I sampled wines in Langhe. Explored historic Valle d’Aosta. And gazed at Mont Blanc.

Later I took to Lake Como. Admired the Casino Royale villa. Then visited Lake Garda.

I marvelled at the Dolomites. And discovered Trentino-Alto Adige.

I photographed Friuli Venezia Giulia. Documented the Carso. And recorded World Heritage Aquileia.

Did I like northern Italy? Here are 24 photographs that say it all.
