North Wales has a fantastic variety of mountains and coastlines. As a landscape and night-scape photographer it offers me everything I want within a short distance, whether its Anglesey surrounded by its stunning coastal views, lighthouses and medieval churches, or the diversity of Snowdonia National Park spread across 823 square miles on the mainland. Here, landscape photographer Kris Williams shares his best pictures of North Wales.
The protected night skies of Snowdonia as an International Dark Sky Reserve also make it a superb location to view the wonders of the night sky, while from the coast of Anglesey you can often witness such natural phenomenon as the aurora borealis, and occasionally bioluminescence in the seas.
Wales has a unique beauty and magical quality that once visited never leaves your heart. Here are some of my favourite pictures of Anglesey and Snowdonia.
