I have been a travel addict since my early twenties and I see travel as a means to discover and explore the world. It is not just about places, it is above all about people and the amazing stories they can tell. Since I was young, I've always enjoyed coupling my talent for organisation with my creativity to design special trips for the most curious and discerning travellers. My home country offers so many opportunities for new experiences and emotions that it never ceases to amaze me.

I founded my own tour operator to scratch my own itch - I wanted to be able to plan authentic trips, a mix of known tourist attractions with off-the-beaten-track excursions, trips that I wanted to take myself. Costa Rica offers something for everyone and with our diverse team we have tested and tried the best hiking routes, the ideal scuba diving areas, the best places to stay on a budget, the most family-friendly hotels and much more. Just wanted to say thank you so much for organising such a fabulous trip for us to see beautiful Costa Rica with its variety of landscapes. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and spotted some wonderful wildlife. The timing was just right too getting there just before the rainy season and it was very quiet in the hotel at Manuel Antonio and at the lodge in Bajos del Toro we were the only guests! What a fabulous place though up in the cloud forest. Thanks again and hopefully I'll be arranging my next trip through Rough Guides! We only had one small delay when our transport from the airport at Puerto Jimenez to Encanta La Vida didn't arrive but the people there were so helpful in getting us a taxi instead. Many thanks again for an unforgettable experience!

We booked a trip to Costa Rica with Rough Guide - what a fantastic holiday, they got it just right, beautiful hotels, great trips, excellent, and friendly and knowledgeable drivers.There was a lovely pace to the holiday with plenty to do but also time to chill and reflect. Highly recommended

Hi Roberto, we had a wonderful time in Costa Rica, every day was an adventure! We very much enjoyed Tortuguero, so much wildlife and seeing the turtles nesting and laying eggs was spectacular. We also very much enjoyed the authenticity of the Tortuga Lodge. I am sorry, we could not meet to thank you in person for a wonderful trip. I have always enjoyed Rough Guides (books) and this year I decided to try the customized travel itineraries. Our agent in Costa Rica was Roberto and he was excellent! We told him what we were looking for (bird watching and nature, with a couple of extra activities) and he put together a wonderful itinerary for us, visiting some of the beautiful natural parks. We had a lot of back-and-forth messages and he would always try to find a way for us to have the bext experience. We did a lot of things in two weeks and there wasn't a single one we didn't enjoy. We contacted Roberto a few times with questions and he was really helpful every time. It was a truly memorable vacation, with nothing to worry about and everything going smoothly. Even when we got evacuated from Tortuguero, Roberto reworked the plans with no hassle for us. Perfect!!!
