Morocco can be an overwhelming place to travel, but the rewards are great. There’s nothing quite wandering through like the vibrant, twisting souks of Marrakesh or strolling between the blue-washed walls of Chefchaouen. The country holds colossal mountains and vast deserts, and an enchanting, ancient Arabic culture pervades throughout.

In his latest travel video, filmmaker Rod Gotfried has captured Morocco’s beauty – natural and man-made – in just three minutes. His stunning film travels from the sands of the Sahara, through the dunes in Erg Chebbi and across the country to coastal Essaouira.

“Morocco is a beautiful, unique, challenging and intense part of the world,” he says. “In the month we spent travelling through this vast country in May 2016 we encountered sandstorms in the Sahara, became lost inside the endless souks of Marrakesh and met some incredibly friendly people along the way.”
