Our recent trip to Vietnam using Rough Guides was exceptional. Every experience we had was very well organized and was exactly what we anticipated. Our 4 tour guides, Thanh, Lan, Huy and Doan were all spectacular hosts! They were all extremely knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and informative - we feel as if we also made 4 new friends on this trip! This was our first experience with a guided tour; it will not be our last. We have already recommended your company to several family and friends. Thank you for helping make our family holiday so memorable!

They were able to provide exactly what we were interested in experiencing in types of activities and places. They customized our activities and all the guides were fun, informative and organized which left us free to just enjoy. Communication was excellent throughout

The agents are very helpful and patient and willing to adjust the itinerary even up to almost the last day before traveling. The agent (Liz) was very flexible and thorough when adjusting the itinerary. I found the entire trip very worthwhile. The accommodations even thou very basic at times were very good plus many were outstanding. I especially appreciated the least-developed islands like Flores and Jamba. Bali even thou it has some very enjoyable sites is overrated.

Seeing a variety of interesting cultural and historical sights plus several stops to take in the natural beauty of the islands including some great snorkeling together with excellent guides made this an exceptional trip. Also the opportunity to tailor the trip to meet our own interests was really special.Our Rough Guide specialist went the extra mile in putting together an excellent itinerary based on a lot of back and forth communication with us.

Excellent short trip to Laos Our trip to Laos was very well organised. Rough Guides were very responsive to our queries. They quickly understood what we wanted; busy with a cultural and historical focus in our case. Guide, driver and hotels were all excellent. I would definitely use Rough Guides again/

My husband and I always dreamt about a trip to Thailand and Rough Guides helped us putting together a perfect holidays. I messaged them with all things we would like to do - from yoga to scuba diving, temples, food, elephants, chat with monks! We had all mixed up and a personal trip advisor was so patient and knowledgeable and designed a total tailored private program for us. We went to Bangkok (Capella hotel), Chiang Mai (137 Pillars) and finally to Phuket (Rosewood). I just confess that we were a bit skeptical to pay all hotels and domestic flights directly to RGuides but everything went absolutely smooth. The local guides were so helpful - I guess that’s Thai hospitality anyway. We have packed the days too much with pre planned activities though. We ended up dropping one of the them (excursion to one of the islands near Phuket) so we could enjoy the hotel. We downloaded an app called grab a taxi (similar to Uber) and it was super easy to go everywhere with that. We also got a SIM card in the airport when we landed and had connectivity the whole period. I was hot spotting on my husbands phone and the solution worked for both of us. Avoid the temptation to have expensive massage in hotels. Best massage is at the streets! Can’t wait to travel with Rough Guides again :)

Our Indonesia trip was amazing thanks to our trip planner, Liz, and the rest of the team! We had a wonderful itinerary packed with all the adventures we could fit, wonderful guides and activities and perfect hotels. The trip was even more memorable than we could have imagined. We had one incident where a bag was inadvertently left at the last hotel by the staff (no fault of the travel agency) and the travel agent went out of their way to ensure it was sent immediately by a rushed courier to the airport in time for our flight and at no cost to us. I would definitely use Insight Guides for a future trip for the piece of mind and local expertise.

It was a great adventure and we had a lot of fun. The itinerary and locations chosen were great, and we particularly loved the Ecolodge in Bukit Lawang and the Tandjung Sari in Bali. The hike in the jungle was a bit tough for us, and steeper than we expected. But we're both really glad we did it, even though we did shorten it to 1 night.
