“It has been a week since we returned from our trip to Montenegro and Croatia. I have been slow in writing to you as I am still trying to recover and process all that we did. In a word, it was FABULOUS. Thank you, Zorica and the Rough Guides team for helping us plan our itinerary. Montenegro is indeed a beautiful and diverse country and I can see why it is now appearing on so many travelers' radar. Our group of four had never used an agency in any of our previous trips and were uncertain what to expect. We knew we needed and wanted a car and driver but didn't realize how much more we were getting. The more, of course, turned out to be MARKO!!!! We all absolutely loved him. He made the trip and enriched it so much. It would not have been the same without him. He was professional, knowledgeable about all things Montenegrin, attentive to details, perceptive of our needs and wants, patient with and understanding of our desire to make our own decisions and direct the itinerary. "You are the boss," was one of his oft used quotes. However, he freely and humbly gave his input from experience and we grew to appreciate and respect his advice. We were blown away, not only by his knowledge and recall of Montenegrin history, but also his command of the English language. He didn't miss an innuendo and conversed with us as if it was his native tongue. He had a wonderful sense of humor and such an easy way about him that endeared him to all of us. He was always punctual and kept the van clean and comfortable. He was an excellent driver and we felt safe as he navigated the many high and curvy roads we traversed. He made the trip carefree for us so we could concentrate on enjoying the scenery and activities. I could go on and on. I have no negative comments nor suggestions for improvement. As I said, we have never used an agency like this before. We might try it again but Marko set the bar so high, I am not sure anyone else could meet our expectations. We are lucky and grateful that he was assigned to our trip.”
