Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Cairo highlights

Explore the Giza Plateau with your Egyptologist guide, visiting the pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure. Enjoy a close view of the Great Sphinx, and time to enter one pyramid independently. Pause for panoramic photographs of the three pyramids rising from the sands against the Cairo skyline.

Continue to the Egyptian Museum to view Tutankhamun’s treasures and learn key highlights from your guide, followed by free time to explore at your own pace.

Cairo to Luxor

Upon arrival in Luxor, our representative transfers you to your dahabiya Nile cruise for the days ahead. Settle in with a relaxed lunch on board as the passing riverside scenery offers a gentle introduction to this tailor-made Egypt itinerary.

Later, explore the vast Karnak Temple complex, including the monumental Hypostyle Hall and its towering columns, before continuing to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II as a center for sacred rituals and festivals honoring the god Amun. Guided visits bring these remarkable monuments and their ancient stories vividly to life.

West Bank of the Nile

Start the day on the West Bank of the Nile, visiting the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings with its pharaonic tombs, Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary, and the Valley of the Queens, with a local guide for a tailor-made made authentic experience.

Return to your cruise ship for lunch, enjoy afternoon tea, and then relax with free time on board. Optional night activity: enjoy the sound and light show at the Temple of Karnak.
