We're giving away a walking holiday in Tuscany for two in our latest competition with FrancigenaWays.com.

If you're dreaming of olive groves, vineyards and quaint little hill-towns, this is the trip for you. Tuscany is in many ways the essence of Italy – and there are few better ways to explore the region than on foot.

The prize

The prize includes six-nights accommodation in FrancigenaWays.com selected properties on a bed and breakfast basis, and all luggage transfers between hotels so you can fully enjoy your exploration of the Italian countryside.

You will follow the Via Francigena pilgrimage trail, in the footsteps of Sigeric the Serious, once Bishop of Canterbury, who walked this route all the way from Canterbury to Rome in the tenth century.

Highlights of the trip include the hilltop town of San Miniato, with its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside, the medieval town of San Gimignano, and magnificent Siena, where this route ends. Along the way, you'll also savour some of Tuscany's finest food and drink.

You can see a full description of the route here >
