Travellers are being advised to stay in their hotels, put their smartphones down and keep away from any Pokémon gyms in the Swiss city of Basel after some rogue Pokémon were seen ambushing unsuspecting humans.

The video below shows shocking footage of members of the public being attacked with giant Poké Balls by a rogue group of Pikachu. They have been seen assaulting Pokémon trainers along busy shopping streets, in the football stadium and even on the Rhine.

Tourists are advised to be vigilant and carry Poké Balls at all times.
