She set up private transportation for us to/from Assisi and a Rome golf cart tour so that he won't feel rushed in a group tour. “Rough Guides put together 2 itineraries, one for Sicily for our extended family of 8 and one for the Amalfi Coast area for 2. All the accommodations were excellent. Drivers were arranged and they were all on time with clean and spacious cars. We had tour guides in several locations, and they were all very good and could adapt the content to the group. The Rough Guides staff were accessible during our travels when we needed some additional unexpected assistance. In addition, the hotel staff were all friendly to our family members. Definitely a trip of a life time.”

“Wonderful trip to Italy My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Italy. We booked our trip through Rough Guides who put us in touch with a local travel agent, Analisa. She customized the perfect itinerary for us, and we could not have been happier with her service. We visited Sorrento, Florence and Rome. Analisa arranged three beautiful hotels, numerous day trips, and all of our transportation including private drivers and train tickets. She gave us an emergency phone contact if we had any questions during our trip. It was all perfect, there is no way I could have done all this by myself. I would not hesitate to book another trip with Analisa in the future!”

“We planned, with the assistance of two in-country travel agents, a four-week trip to Italy. We wanted to go to places we had not been and ended up moving around quite a bit as we saw many cities. The agents, Annalisa and Martina, were terrific, offering many suggestions and tailoring the trip to exactly what we wanted. The only uncertain moments we had usually involved transit from one place to another, and we got all the help we needed from Annalisa and support staff. They booked trains, walking tours, sightseeing tickets, and answered any questions we had. Because we didn't want to drive there (a really good decision if you want to see the "centro," or old part of an Italian city) they booked drivers for us to make transit connections and hotels, and to get to places that would have inaccessible otherwise. This allowed us to see and do things we would have never done otherwise. So five stars for our agents and their performance. A word of caution in paying for the trip: The Rough Guides IT people seemed to have problems processing credit cards. I would now start a week before the deadline in order to use the card I wanted to. It was a $350+ hit in currency conversion fees because of being forced to use another card.”
