The Military Museum

West of Cişmigiu Park, near the Gara de Nord station, the Military Museum has a fine display on the army’s role during the 1989 revolution. Among the most moving exhibits are the personal belongings of both civilians and soldiers, including the blood-splattered uniform worn by the then Minister of Defence, General Vasile Milea, who was executed after refusing to carry out orders to shoot civilians.
