Dozens of boats make excursions throughout the summer – and on certain days in winter too – between La Spezia and just about every port along this coast, leaving from the waterfront Passeggiata Morin, at the far end of Via del Prione. The most popular line is the one to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre, which operates daily in season, taking 45min to Portovenere and reaching Monterosso in just under 2hr. Return prices range from €7 to Portovenere to €25 for the whole Cinque Terre; a one-way ticket to the Cinque Terre is €12. The principal operator is Consorzio Maríttimo Turistico, “5 Terre–Golfo dei Poeti”, Via Don Minzoni 13, La Spezia (t 0187 732 987, w navigazionegolfodeipoeti.it). The same line also operates services across the Golfo dei Poeti and to the island of Palmaria (€7 return).
