Football (soccer) is by far the most popular sport in Denmark. The biggest teams are FC Copenhagen and Brøndby (both from the capital) who play in the twelve-team Superliga (wwww.dbu.dk). As for outdoor activities, there’s a series of cycle routes and hiking paths (wwww.dvl.dk). Watersports are also popular. Over 200 beaches having Blue Flag status and the extensive fjords of Zealand and Jutland provide further variety for the recreationally minded; ask at tourist offices where the best swimming is. Klitmøller on Jutland is the surfing capital.
