Best accommodation in Bosnia-Herzegovina

There are plenty of hostels in both Sarajevo and Mostar (dorm beds costing around €12), as well as private rooms in these cities, though they’re pretty rare elsewhere. Otherwise, hotel accommodation is still pretty cheap in Bosnia-Herzegovina – you should always be able to find a room in the €25–35 range. Guesthouses (pansiona) are available in some towns, though are nowhere near as numerous as in neighbouring countries. Free wi-fi access is now almost standard in all accommodation. There are a few campsites dotted around, most with reasonable facilities (en.camping.info/bosnia-herzegovina). The possible presence of unexploded mines from the war means that wild camping is not a good idea.

Rough Guides connects you with vetted Bosnia-Herzegovina travel agents who create personalized trip plans from scratch based on your travel style, pace, interests, and budget. Instead of choosing from fixed packages, you can receive up to 3 different itinerary proposals, compare approaches from different local agents, and refine the preferred trip together until it fits the way you want to travel.
