Herastrau Park and the Village Museum

Just to the north of the museums, traffic heading for the airports and Transylvania swings around a familiar-looking Arc de Triumf, commemorating Romania’s participation on the side of the Allied victors in World War I. To the right, in Herăstrău Park, the city’s largest, is the Village Museum (Muzeul Satului), a fabulous ensemble of wooden houses, churches, windmills and other structures from various regions of the country.
