Rafting down the River Cetina is fast becoming the premier activity-holiday attraction in southern Dalmatia, with a growing number of local travel agents offering the trip. Excursions usually start at Penšići, 16km upstream from Omiš, and end up at Radmanove Mlinice 10km farther down. The river only gets wild after strong rains, so most trips involve a gentle descent rather than a white-knuckle, whitewater ride – giving you plenty of time to admire the dense riverine vegetation and rugged cliffs on either side. Expect to pay 250–280Kn per person. Numerous local agents in Split, Trogir or Makarska will organize the trip; in Omiš, excursions can be arranged through:
Active Holidays t 021 861 829.
Dalmatian Adventurs Fošal 19 t 021 863 161.
Pinta t 021 734 016.
Slap Poljički trg t 021 871 108.
