Jules Verne’s use of Pazin as a location in his novel Matthias Sandorf has prompted locals to form the Jules Verne Club, which publishes a newsletter and organizes various events, including the annual Jules Verne Days in late June (details from the tourist office). You can become a member by “donating a book or any other cultural material connected to Jules Verne for the club collection”. More information can be found on w reformclub.com/home/membership.
