All bookings for National Park accommodation can be made in person at the Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) office in the Ekrath Building, 189 Independence Ave (Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, Sat 8am–1pm; t 061 2857200, w nwr.com.na), though you’ll need to have made the reservation in advance of your trip if you’re hoping to stay at the popular resorts of Etosha and Sossusvlei, and even for the less well-patronized places in high season. Even if you’ve booked online, though, it’s worth popping in to reconfirm your reservation. The office staffcan also provide limited information about the parks.

The Ministry of the Environment and Tourism (MET) permit office is on Robert Mugabe St at Kenneth Kaunda St (Mon–Fri 8am–5pm). You can buy your park entry permits in advance here, though they can usually also be bought at the gate of the respective park.
