AUTHOR :: STEPHEN TIMBLIN

Stephen Timblin

A former managing editor for the Rough Guides in New York City, Stephen Timblin currently works as an editor/writer from his basement office in Detroit, Michigan. Born in Spain to an Australian mother and an American father, Stephen began life traveling and has never quit. Having lived in Valencia, Monterrey (Mexico), London, Rome, Brooklyn and now Detroit, his goals in life (in no particular order) include: starting a family; one day living closer to the Rockies; owning a German shorthair pointer; learning to surf; snowboarding 100-plus days every winter; one day living closer to ocean; successfully teaching his gorgeous wife to drive a manual car; visiting his family in Australia; perfecting his dreadful Italian; training himself to read at night without falling asleep; becoming a better fly-fisherman; and writing a Pulitzer-winning Rough Guide or, if that fails, a money-making screenplay.
