Steve has been with the Rough Guides since 1997, writing on their guides to Indonesia and SE Asia. His day job however is making natural history and adventure programmes for the BBC and National Geographic, presenting and writing on such shows as 'Earthpulse', 'The Really Wild Show' and 'Expedition Borneo'. Some highlights of the last decade of travel include sitting with 100,000 female turtles in an egg laying frenzy on a Costa Rican beach, catching a four metre long King Cobra out of a tree and this year summitting his first (and he sincerely hopes last) 8000 metre mountain.
