Ross Velton has travelled in nearly one hundred countries all over the world. He holds a Master’s degree in law and also a postgraduate diploma in acting. He speaks fluent French and currently lives in Montreal. For the past eleven years, Ross has been working as a travel writer. He is the sole author of guidebooks to Orlando and Walt Disney World (for Rough Guides); Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and Mali (for Bradt Travel Guides); and Cap d’Agde, the world’s largest nudist resort (for Scarlett Oh! Publishing). In addition to these books, he has contributed to around fifteen other Rough Guides titles, including The Rough Guide to South Africa, of which he is one of the co-authors. Ross has written numerous feature articles for newspapers such as The Times of London and The Independent on subjects ranging from cigars in the Dominican Republic to cycling in Montreal; and he has also made appearances in television programmes about travel.
