Pauline Savage
|
|
For as long as she can remember, Pauline had a longing to hit the open road. Her dream began in earnest with summer-long jaunts to Europe and USA, but it was a post-University trip through South Asia in 1989 that really kickstarted her interest. However, it was following her other passion, classical music, that she first began her career, working for a booking service for freelance orchestral musicians. A few years into this and desk-bound office life began to pall, so it was with some relish that she returned to the Far East for the Rough Guides, writing the Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei guide. She has since become a Book Editor, working on a wide range of titles, with celebrities such as wine expert Oz Clarke and interior designer Anne McKevitt. She lives in London and has two young children.
