Michael Haag

Michael Haag is the author of several books of history, travel, biography and literary studies. Yale University Press, London and New Haven, has published his Alexandria: City of Memory, a book about cosmopolitan Alexandria during the first half of the twentieth century. It has also been published in Egypt by The American University in Cairo Press, and it has been published in Greek translation by Oceanida Publishers in Athens. He is now writing a biography of the novelist Lawrence Durrell for Yale University Press. In addition, he is a photographer who has produced several books on Egypt, published by The American University in Cairo Press.
