All trains leave Huancavelica from the station at Avenida Augosto Legui ( 067/752898). By far the easiest way to get to Lima is by bus via Huancayo. There's also a daily bus to Ayacucho, leaving at 5am with Empresa Ticllas from Av Cáceres 235. For Pisco and Ica (6–10hr depending on condition of road) on the coast, Empresa Oropesa buses leave around 5.30pm from their office on the Plaza Santa Ana. Some tourist information can be obtained from Dircetur, V Garma 444 ( 067/452938; www.regionhuancavelica.com ), and there's one established local tour company – Turismo Andino on block 2 of Barranca ( 067/454190 or 067/967706388, Eturismoandinohvca@yahoo.com).
