The Casa Ecológica in La Molina, another suburb a few kilometres directly east of Monterrico, is affiliated with the Universidad La Catolica's Group for Assistance to the Rural Sector. Located on the University campus, it has an interesting exhibit of an ecologically friendly house with wind, solar electric, solar thermal and solar cooking facilities set in an organic garden. To visit, you need to contact Sr. Urpi Vasquez in advance.
It's quite distant from Miraflores or Lima Centro, so it's best to take a taxi ($4–6).
