The Museo de Arte Religioso del Arzobispado is housed in a superb Arabesque-style mansion built on the impressive foundations of Hathun Rumiyoq palace. Once home to Brother Vicente de Valarde and the Marquises of Rocafuert, and later the archbishop's residence, the museum now contains a significant collection of paintings, mostly from the Cusqueña school. There are stunning mosaics in some of the period rooms, and other significant features include the elaborate gateway and the gold-leaf craftsmanship on the chapel's altar.
