Casona Flores del Campo

    Address: Portal de Flores 136

    Opening time: Daily 10am–5pm

    Price: 50¢

The Casona Flores del Campo is older than most houses in Arequipa, dating back to the sixteenth century (it was apparently once used by Fernando Pizarro), but not completed until 1779 by one Coronel Manuel Flores del Campo. It's quite easy to distinguish different stages in the construction of this casona (colonial mansion), most notably the double arch and balcony from the late eighteenth century. These days it's home to a reasonably wide-ranging exhibition of artesania.
