The Flag House and Star-Spangled Banner Museum
The intriguing Flag House and Star-Spangled Banner Museum is where in 1813 Mary Pickersgill sewed the 30-foot-by-45-foot US flag, whose presence at the British attack on Baltimore Harbor the following year inspired Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner." The house is full of patriotic tributes, as well as various antiques from the era, and there's a less interesting War of 1812 Museum (same hours and admission) that covers that conflict with costumes and military relics.
