The Rio Grande Valley, at the southern tip of Texas, is one of the least visited but most fascinating regions of Texas. Actually a delta prone to flooding, the Rio Grande Valley is rural and historic country – two-hundred-year-old downtowns remain in many of the border towns sprinkled throughout the region.
