The Biblioteca Magna Universitaria is another fine example of the work of Ricardo Legorreta, and though the design is completely different, the parallels to the MARCO building are strong. In fact, it sometimes feels more like an art gallery than a library, and does generally have a couple of modern works on display near the lobby. Like the MARCO, it is a constantly surprising building, with squares within circles and sudden courtyards, but with an overall sense of space and fun.
