Barrio Antiguo
The "Barrio Antiguo" tag seems an appropriate for this increasingly gentrified district populated by chi-chi little galleries, appealingly laid-back cafés and, once the sun has gone down, the city's best nightlife opportunities. The city authorities are even playing ball, installing old-fashioned street lamps and taking measures to calm the traffic. There's usually a host of artistic goings-on here: check out the Centro Cultural Santa Lucía, Address: Montemayor 510, for frequent photography, theatre and dance events, or have a glance at the bulletin boards posted in many of the local cafés and bars.
