4 Hermann's Jazz Club 753 View St Dimly lit club thick with 1950s atmosphere that specializes in Dixieland but has occasional excursions into fusion and blues.
5 Legends 919 Douglas St The biggest, best and noisiest of the live-music venues, this club occupies the garish, neon-lit basement of the Strathcona Hotel. Varied live bands, including the occasional big name, and dancing nightly.
