Featuring over eight hundred exhibits on science and technology, the Ontario Science Centre draws more than one million visitors a year with children to the fore. One of the most popular exhibits is The Human Body, where visitors can discern the inner workings of human biology through life-sized three-dimensional displays and various quizzes and games. There's also information on complex medical advances like bioengineering, DNA fingerprinting and immunology, all presented in an easily accessible format. Another big pull is the OMNIMAX Theatre, which boasts a 24-metre-high wraparound screen with digital sound that hits you right in the solar plexus. Admissions to the Omnimax shows are either separate from the general admission ($12 for adults) or can be combined with general admission, which costs $25 for adults. To reach the Science Centre by car from downtown Toronto, take the Don Valley Parkway and follow the signs from the Don Mills Road North exit. By public transport, take the Yonge Street subway line north to Eglington station and transfer to the Eglington Avenue East bus; get off at Don Mills Road.
