Trains from Toronto (4–6 daily; 2hr 10min) pull into the VIA Rail station beside Hwy 2, an inconvenient 7km northwest of the city at the junction of Princess Street and Counter Boulevard; Kingston Transit buses #2 and #6 (Mon– Fri every 30min, Sat every 30min-1hr; no Sun service) connect with downtown Kingston. The terminus for long-distance Greyhound ( 1-800/661-8747, www.greyhound.ca ) and Coach Canada buses ( 1-800/461-7661, www.coachcanada.com ) is on the corner of Division Street and Counter Boulevard, about 6km to the north of the city centre; Kingston Transit bus #12 (Mon– Sat only; hourly) runs downtown from here.
