Arrival

Saskatoon airport ( 306/975-8900, www.yxe.ca ), 5km northwest of the city centre, is connected to downtown by taxi (roughly $15); otherwise, the nearest bus service is the half-hourly #21, which leaves from the junction of Airport Drive and 45th Street, a five-minute walk from the terminal building. The train station ( 1-800/835-3037) is 7km west of the centre, on Chappell Drive, a five-minute walk from the route of bus #3 on Dieppe Street; a taxi to the downtown core costs about $15. Far more convenient is the city's bus station, 23rd St East and Pacific Ave ( 306/933-8000), in the centre served by Greyhound and the Saskatchewan Transportation Company.
