The Mediterranean coast and the Hatay
Arrival
Both buses and intertown dolmuşes use the otogar, about 7km north of town on the Ankara road; bus companies have their own service buses, which will deliver you to the town centre, and there is also a blue-and-white municipal bus marked "Terminal" linking the otogar with the centre. Whichever you use, alight either near the Atatürk statue for pensions on the west of the old city, or at the Belediye (Town Hall) corner for pensions on the east side.
Buses for Kemer and the westbound coast road for Kaş and Kalkan arrive at and depart from opposite the Falez Hotel on 100 Yıl Bulvarı, 2km west of the centre. Inbound buses arrive just around the corner near the Devlet Hastane (State Hospital), and from the intermediate roundabout frequent dolmuşes take you to the town centre – look out for those marked "Kale Kapası" and "İşıklar".
West of the Falez Hotel is the main harbour and dock where ferries arrive from Venice – it's 10km from the centre of town and there is no dolmuş service, so you'll have to take a taxi to the centre. Antalya's lushly landscaped airport stands at the centre of a maze of motorways some 12km east of the city. Taxis into town cost about 20YTL per car during the day and 30YTL between midnight and 6am, or take the Havaş airport bus, which drops off outside the post office on Güllük Caddesi, 600m west of Kaleiçi. If you arrive from abroad, you will land up at one of the two international terminals, from where a taxi is the only option.
