Erzurum has two main bus terminals: the long-distance otogar, located almost 3km northwest of the city centre (taxis into the centre won't exceed 8YTL), and the Gölbaşı Semt Garajı, for Yusufeli and Artvin, much more conveniently situated just over 1km northeast of downtown. Many, though by no means all, long-distance buses stop at both of these stations – when it's time to move on from Erzurum, make sure you know exactly which one your vehicle starts from; there are ticket offices scattered around town, as well as at the terminals.
The train station is over 1km north of the centre, close to a concentration of inexpensive accommodation. If you fly into the newly renovated airport, 10km northwest of town at the end of the same road serving the otogar, try and catch the THY bus (3YTL) into town – a taxi will set you back 13YTL.
