Only 20km from Malmö and 50km south of Helsingborg is the celebrated university city of LUND. Like England's Oxford, with which it is often and aptly compared, there's an eccentric and bohemian atmosphere to the place – a mass of students' bikes will probably be the first image to greet you. Cultural attractions aside, it's the mix of architectural grandeur and the buzz of student life that lends Lund its unique charm, and with its justly revered twelfth-century Romanesque cathedral, its medieval streets and numerous museums, the town could easily keep you busy for a couple of days.
