In the indoor Västerbotten Museum, a number of exhibitions canter through the county's development, from prehistory (including the oldest ski in the world, dated at 5200 years old) to the Industrial Revolution. It's all good stuff, well laid out and complemented by an array of videos and recordings, with a useful English leaflet available.
