St Jakobs kyrka
Opening time: Mon– Wed, Fri & Sat 11am–4pm, Thurs 11am–6pm, Sun 9am–8pm
The red St Jakobs kyrka is one of the many easily overlooked churches in Stockholm. It's the pulpit that draws the eye, a great, golden affair, while the date of the church's consecration – 1642 – is stamped high up on the ceiling in gold figures. There are weekly classical music recitals here, with organ and choir recitals on Saturdays at 3pm.
