Central Station

It's worth seeing the city's impressive Central Station. One of the oldest in the country, dating from 1856, it retains its original facade and boasts a grand and marvellously preserved interior. Look out for the wood beam-ends in the ticket hall, each one carved into the likeness of a city council member of the day.
