Facing the canal is the white, double-columned 1842 Börshuset, the former stock exchange. If you can persuade the attendants to let you in, you'll be rewarded with magnificent banqueting and concert halls, and smaller rooms with a riot of red and blue stucco inspired by the eighteenth-century excavations at Pompeii.
