If you tire of Baroque excesses, head for the wonderfully sombre interior of the Gothic La Lonja (also known as Lonja de la Seda, or the Silk Exchange). The main focus of this UNESCO-listed building is its superb main hall, with an elegant rib-vaulted ceiling supported by slender, spiralling columns; the wooden trading tables are now used on Sundays by coin and stamp collectors.
