Across the usually dry Riu Galligants, the Museu Arqueològic is housed in the former Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere Galligants. The twelfth-century church itself contains Roman artefacts, including a vivid mosaic showing a chariot race, unearthed in 1876 at a nearby Roman villa. Galleries above the cloister methodically outline the region's history from Paleolithic to Roman times, but unless you read Catalan or Spanish, or pay €2 for the English-language guidebook, you'll get little out of the exhibits.
