Arrival points are centred on the large triangular park that is the Campo Grande: the train station is at the foot of the park, and the bus station a few minutes' walk west, at c/Puente Colgante 2; the AVE high-speed train service now makes Valladolid just over an hour's jump from Madrid. It's a fifteen-minute walk up to Plaza Mayor from the train station, or there are taxis outside. There's also a small airport 15km outside the city (served by domestic flights and Ryanair services from London Stansted); buses (€3) run to the centre, while a taxi should cost €20. Driving in, it's easiest to use one of the signposted car parks for overnight stays – there's one under Plaza Mayor (hotels round here all offer overnight parking for around €12).
