1 Barry's Irish Pub Plaza Mayor 23 The main Irish pub in town, on the central plaza, part bar and part discoteca at the weekends.
2 Capitán Haddock c/de Ancha 8 Terrible name, but not a bad bar as the night wears on, with the outside world screened off by heavy red curtains.
3 Cervecería Céltica c/Cervantes 10 Noisy beer-house that's all the rage for foreign and Spanish beers on tap, including the knock-your-socks-off Belgian brews.
4 León Antiguo Plaza Ordoño IV A good place to start the night, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the El Cid gardens and the Gaudí towers.
5 Studio 54 c/Burgo Nuevo 18 A popular club in a small residential courtyard off the main street in the new town, with a few other late-opening bars nearby. Open from midnight weekends, usually with cover.
