The birthplace of Federico García Lorca, Andalucía's greatest poet and dramatist, in the pleasant vega village of Fuente Vaqueros has been transformed into a museum, the Casa Museo Federico García Lorca, which contains a highly evocative collection of Lorca memorabilia. Buses (hourly from 9am, last bus returns 8pm; 20min) leave from Granada's Avda. de Andaluces, fronting the train station.
