Immediately south of Testaccio, the industrial neighbourhood of Ostiense is one of the city's most up-and-coming areas, home to those who can no longer afford to live in its gentrified neighbour to the north. There was until a few years ago no real reason to come here at all, unless you were on your way down to the basilica of San Paolo, but nowadays the Capitoline colletions at Centrale Montemartinialone make it worth the trip, as well as the clubs, bars and restaurants taht are springing up to serve the media types that are moving in.
